Rebecca A. Jackson
After retiring from a rewarding career in executive public administration, Rebecca leads True North Performance Group, LLC as Principal Consultant and CEO. She also serves as an adjunct faculty member for the University of North Carolina’s Center for Public Leadership and Governance helping local governments build high performing organizations.
A forward-thinking, dynamic professional with nearly 22 years of experience in highly complex and regulated business and government settings. Regarded with a reputation for excellence in leadership as a synergist Rebecca spearheads change management processes, develops teams, and drives organizational results. She manages expectations, gains buy-in with all stakeholders, and is relied upon as a problem solver, innovator, and effective communicator.
Rebecca has been invited to share insight at numerous seminars and conferences. As an accomplished consultant and facilitator, she excels in developing leaders and building consensus in diverse and complicated situations.
Her work has been recognized nationally by Governing Magazine, earning top honors in a national assessment of high performance systems and by the International City/County Management Association for Performance Excellence for five straight years.
Rebecca's experience includes serving as Chief of Staff with oversight of intergovernmental affairs and corporate communications, earning first place recognition for Excellence in Communications from NC3C. She served has Director of Strategic Performance, leading the development of strategy and development of an award winning performance management program.
She has led numerous internal and external engagement efforts from around the state. Rebecca is committed to diversity and inclusion, championing social capital, equity and empowerment initiatives such as HER Week.
